Good news gamers! It appears that playing violent video games won’t turn you into a mindless psycho killer. The following comes from Patrick Markey, author of the study published in the Review of General Psychology.
“If you’re worried about a video game turning your son or daughter into a killer, don’t worry about that,” said Markey. “But is your kid moody, impulsive, or are they unfriendly? It’s probably not the best idea to have that child play violent video games.”
The study, done in 2009 took responses from people and half played violent games while the other half played non-violent games.
Now that this is confirmed can we all just put this thing behind us?
