Famitsu magazine has unveiled more fresh new details about the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2.

As seen in the latest trailers for the game, Hope is no longer the little boy we last saw him in Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set ten years later and he’s now 24 years old and is the “head of a scientific investigation group”.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will also have many intense QTE (quick time events). It’s said that the game doesn’t penalize you if you fail them, but clearing them rewards you in some fashion.
The best addition of the game is that you can switch party leaders in real-time. Not only this but it’s not game over when your party leader dies. The battle will still continue. A great improvement over the original Final Fantasy XIII game.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will even include an “easy mode” and you can change costumes that are visible during in-game cutscenes.
A lot of great new details to what is shaping up to be a better game than its predecessor. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is released January 31st in North America and February 3rd in Europe for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
