As we previously reported, the Kinect is not a huge success over in Japan, thanks to Microsoft’s mostly hardcore user-base. The sales pitch of the Kinect to Japanese hardcore gamers could easily be likened to offering a taco to finicky food critics in your own Italian restaurant.
Starting October 13th, Microsoft will be offering a 4gb Xbox 360 with Kinect for 29,800 Yen, or about 388 US Dollars.
It will also include Kinect Adventures, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved and 3 months of Xbox Live Gold. This may not be enough to boost Kinect sales in Japan, but considering how hard they’ve been pushing it here in America, Microsoft is probably far from done in the land of the Rising Sun.
