Capcom knows its fans, with almost truly intimate knowledge, but not even a fan-conscious company like Capcom can please everyone, especially fanboys.
Its Xbox 360 fans are beginning to feel a little betrayed at losing 3 exclusive guest characters to the Playstation 3 and Vita, Cole McGrath of inFamous fame, Toro and Kuro, the PS3 cats. So voicing themselves on Capcom forums, Capcom eventually decided to snap back.
The Original Poster for the forum topic claimed that, as usual, and in a parallel fashion to NetherRealm’s treatment with the system, that Xbox fans are just going to get ignored again.
Many common arguments that sprung up during the Mortal Kombat controversy applied here, that the 360 characters don’t have as many exclusives, being a system for shooters, and that it may be due to the fact that Microsoft forces the added characters to be downloadable content. Capcom ignored the arguments just to release this statement as a reply…
“Guys, we’ve done lots of exclusive content on Xbox 360 platforms (DR1, DR2, Lost Planet, etc.). We spread the love around from time to time.
Nothing more I can say on the topic for the near term.”
Not leaving a lot of room for discussion, 360 fans are left without a whole lot to say.
