DICE has announced more details regarding the length of Battlefield 3’s single-player campaign. Lead designer Dave Goldfarb stated that “I would say it’s a pretty decent length. It’s not Skyrim, but it’s not three hours, or anything like that.” Hopefully we can expect at least 6 or more…
Goldfarb also went on to comment about the games length in comparison to its competition Modern Warfare 3 saying: “I’d say it was probably slightly more than that. Based on our play-times it’s probably more than that, but it’s not twice as long. But, again, we’ll see. When you play it on hard difficulty, it’ll take a lot more time. It’s all about making sure the experience is as awesome as possible,” Goldfarb told VG247. “I’d rather have six hours of awesome than 12 hours of ‘meh’.”
Seeing that Modern Warfare 3 was stated to have a six hour campaign, it is looking like Battlefield will give players a nice campaign to sit down and enjoy when they aren’t playing the game online. Battlefield 3 releases October 25 for the Playstation 3, PC and Xbox 360.

I feel that way with alot of games nowadays. It’s like some of them are dragged on just to MAKE them longer. Not because the game requires the content.
I find myself replaying a short 5-8 hour game over a 15+ hour game. Doesn’t matter HOW good it is.
