Kotaku has reported that NBA 2K12 will basically be NBA 2K11 albeit the fact that there will be more “Legendary” teams instead.
Although this is not 2K Sport’s fault, due to the NBA lockout, the game won’t have any updated teams or rosters. The main game will basically have the same team lineups and players as in NBA 2K11. If you wanted to play as any new rookies or NBA All Star teams, it will be recycled for last year’s NBA 2K11.
Not only this but old “legendary” teams won’t be available for you to play online. This is to prevent players from having an unfair advantage since most players will want to play as Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. Would it have been better if NBA 2K12 was delayed? Either way, the lockout as proved to be annoying for the NBA players and NBA fans alike.

September 18, 2011 at 10:44 AMthis is not the same game as last year thy changed ho u play in the Post, they changed my player mode, added a my legend mode, and they added a historic team mod that features teams other than the Jordan led bulls. The only thing that is the same as last year’s are the rosters and that is not 2k’s fault.

September 18, 2011 at 6:27 PMNot the same game at all, 2k11 was the perfect NBA Game, 2k wasn’t going to make drastic changes anyway, only problem is no updated rosters and 2k can’t be blamed for that.
