While Notch announced he was being sued by Bethesda, it isn’t them directly suing Mojang.
Mojang is being sued by Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax over Mojang’s second title Scrolls. Zenimax’s lawyers have done this as they believe Scrolls is too close to their title The Elder Scrolls.
On one hand everyone can see the similarity but on the other, will people really confuse a card title with a massive open world RPG? I think not. We will keep you informed if anything new is released.

August 7, 2011 at 2:20 AMReally? Over one word?
With logic like that, they’re assuming people would confuse titles like Brutal Metal with Metal Gear Solid with Gears of War with God of War and so on and so forth.
Can you say “Open and Shut Case”?

August 7, 2011 at 3:32 PM@Game Geek, I think mojang is equally as cool. Please don’t go there. and, Collin, you are correct, Zenimax is being stupid and petty. “OMG GUYZ THERES A GAME OUT THERE CALLED SKROLLZ! LETS SUE EM!1!1!1ONE!11!!” thats like suing some one for making a game with the word “the” in it or something, many games have the word the in it i.e. the elder scrolls, but no one owns it. idc, no one should own words, because words can not be owned, i believe that you should get punished for ripping off a tittle, but not for using one word from the title. no word, is origional, it was made by some one else.
