Announced at Gamescom this year, CD Projekt revealed that a new update DLC will be releasing on The Witcher 2 this September.
The DLC will give enhancements to the game that will further make the gameplay more enjoyable. A new content will also be available where players can enter the Arena mode and take on a Horde of enemies.
The 2.0 Update for Witcher 2 will be available free of charge. No definite release date as exactly when in September but it’s coming. For those who are waiting for the Xbox 360 version, all released DLC will be included in the disc.
THE WITCHER 2 2.0 Update Details
New Tutorial System: designed to slowly immerse new players into The Witcher’s world.
New difficult setting, Dark Mode: almost as challenging as Insane Mode, but with game saves, and a series of new “dark” items, including weapons and armor, that CD Projekt Red describes as the most powerful items in the game. The studio said Dark Mode will also alter the campaign in unique ways.
Arena Mode: The Witcher 2’s take on Horde Mode, Arena will pit players against progressively difficult waves of enemies. Players will earn points with each kill that can be used toward upgrading equipment between rounds.
