It was announced on the official Rugby Challenge Facebook page the game will have a day 1 patch when it releases.
As reported earlier, Rugby Challenge is now releasing on August 26th in New Zealand. If you’re connected online tomorrow when the game is released, you’ll be prompted to download the patch that will address some bugs and issues the game was having.

PS3 & Xbox 360
In order to release the game as soon as possible we opted to release a day 1 patch. The patch addresses some bugs and has some late additions. The update is small and should take a few minutes on a broadband connection.
The free patch is available on the Xbox and Playstation Network. Simply connect to Xbox Live or PSN with your Rugby Challenge game inserted in your console.
