Notch is quite publically going through a dilemma when it comes to the towns that will be added to Minecraft in Beta 1.8.
Notch has been tweeting regularly about the towns’ borders and how players will know where they end but hasn’t yet come up with a way of solving the problem. He revealed that not only did he try a “civ-like culture border thing” but also “terrain stuff like walls” but none have worked out.
Notch went onto add that one of the biggest problems he faces is that “players can alter the towns and still need to know where the border is!“
