Jens has today revealed that there will not be any water based mobs to Minecraft when beta 1.8 is released.
Jens was asked if the rumoured silverfish would be a new mob for Minecraft Beta 1.8 he simply replied “no,” he did however later add that there are “no new water mobs created yet”.
Do you think the water is empty compared to land in Minecraft or do you not really mind? Comment Below.

August 23, 2011 at 8:42 AMLet me just say a few things.
1. Like MechTimber said, the silverfish is a insect. But I don’t agree with MechTimber all the way. I don’t think Mojang is planning of adding a silverfish with this discription:
Quote (Minecraft Wiki):
“In real life, silverfish are small, wingless insects that are often found in dark areas in buildings. They are infamous for damaging wood and paper-based products.”
But they’re probably thinking of adding a silverfish with THIS discription:
Quote (Minecraft Wiki):
“There are also ray-finned fish named Silverfish.”
2. There’s no surprise because the adventure update is too big already. And they probably will be late for their deadline if they don’t shorten it.
There are probably other reasons, I just cant think of em right now, xD

August 27, 2011 at 7:35 AMwell i think there is a HUGE lack of watre mobs in minecarft cos thers only squidds and there gay and useless so they rlly need to add sharks or piranhas or sumthin like that.
