Some minor but interesting details have emerged about the upcoming Elder Scrolls game that add to the hype behind it.

August 13, 2011 at 11:10 PMThank you Richard. Is there any way you can tell me if you can adjust the height of your character in the character creator? In other words, can I create a 6′ 5″ dark elf?
Christian
August 14, 2011 at 12:00 AMHey Chance I dont think you can choose height, but i heard u can choose your body build like small, medium, and large. I’m not positive on this but you can look it up somewhere.

August 14, 2011 at 12:28 PMSorry to disappoint you guys, but I don’t think he meant bard as a class. Especially seeing as to how there aren’t any set “classes” any more, but anyways, I’m almost positive he was talking about the bards in taverns you can ask to play songs. Don’t hold me on this, but I believe you’re able to play music like a bard as well though.

August 14, 2011 at 12:31 PMRemember guys, take anything that Todd Howard said with a grain of salt.
He’s been known to lie to us with a straight face.

August 14, 2011 at 12:32 PMPersonally I’d like to hear some more about the animal companions and how they work. I was literally thinking the other day how fitting it would be in Fallout and The Elder Scrolls to be able to tame animals. It would really come in handy for players investing in marksman. Anyone know anything a little more specific about the animal companions?

August 14, 2011 at 5:23 PMIf fast travel costs money then I will be screwed. I like to do all my exploring early and then travel everywhere. I guess that wont be possible if Im getting billed every time I do it. Can this be confirmed or denied by another site maybe?

August 15, 2011 at 5:23 AM@ Anon,
This data was leaked out from the 13 people that did the one hour hands-on preview at QuakeCon. These are not words from Todd Howard.
Some things have to be changed. The guy who said you can collect bees, corrected himself, he meant Honeycombs. You can still kill bees though.
As far as I know, fast travel that costs money is the carriage system. There is the oblivion fast travel, but this is only available if you have travelled to the destination before, including cities I believe.
@ Vibe
Bard is not a play style. There are bards in taverns, you can ask them to play different kind of music. One of the one hour hands-on previews said the bard even switched to a different instrument.

August 16, 2011 at 10:50 PMwhat does During Character Generation you can add laugh lines to your character. and Myriad facepaint mean im a little confused

August 21, 2011 at 3:49 AM@Alex What “Myriad of facepaints” means is that Myriad means many and facepaint is facepaint. In Skyrim, you can give your character scars, you can give them facepaint (e.g. Myriad of Facepaints) tatoos and so on. Laugh lines are lines on your face that you get when you laugh a lot/smile alot.
