Since the Online Pass has been introduced by EA, a lot of publishers are starting to follow the trend. Today, Ubisoft announced Uplay Passport, an alternative to the Online Pass that we all know.
Similar to the Online Pass, UPlay Passport is a service where players will have to redeem a one-time use registration code that comes with their game. Once redeemed, players can either – access the multiplayer portion, get extra items, features and a lot more. The only way to tell if a Ubisoft game has UPlay Passport inside is by looking through the logo in the box.
For players who will be buying a used product, they can purchase a UPlay Passport for $9.99. Sounds unique eh?
It seems that one of the games that will have these feature is Driver: San Francisco which is scheduled for release later this year.
