A few new details on Minecraft beta 1.8 have been released including a new objects and stacking food items.
Jens revealed both objects and the stackable food information via images on the social networking site Twitter.
The first image shows whole chickens both uncooked and cooked in the player’s inventory which is a new food source that isn’t in 1.7. It also shows the chicken being stacked, although when asked about other foods being stacked and the example of porkchops was given, Jens replied “I haven’t said anything about porkchops!”
Jens then went on to unveil glass panels. They most likely will take up a block but aren’t the same thickness, as just a glass block. The two images that revealed the content are below.
Minecraft is currently slated to leave beta stage on the 11th of November.
