Shortly before E3 2011 kicked off, we were treated with Warhawk’s spiritual successor, Starhawk. From then on, Warhawk fans and E3 attendees/viewers have been dying to know more about the game. Now, we have a little extra info to satisfy us for now.
Lightbox has been answering fans’ questions regarding their upcoming title Starhawk. Here’s what they had to say.
Q: Can you spoil any of the vehicles?
A: we’ve shown the 4×4, the Hawk, the Jetbike, and we’re unveiling a new vehicle at Gamescom (along with another unveil)Q: Is there any DLC planned?
A: we’re entirely focused on the retail product now and making it the best possible product we can. We will explore it and support the game long term, of course, but that’s something we’ll investigate later after we watch how people play.Q: How are units balanced (Ground vs air, 4x4s versus Hawks, etc.)?
A: We do daily play sessions for the purpose of balancing. Every day, we have everyone in the studio try out the game to make sure nothing is overpowered.Q: Is hover mode in Starhawk?
A: It was removed for balancing purposes
In addition to this information, the Starhawk team divulged some more on the highly anticipated title.
First, they discussed the idea of campaign co-op.
Story based co-op mode was not included because it wouldn’t let us focus on Emmett. Instead, we will be offering other dedicated co-op modes.
Then they went on to discuss how friends could enjoy online together.

That’s all they had to say for now, but that should hold you over for a little bit and, hopefully, you’re happy with what they’ve revealed so far.
Starhwak will release on Playstation 3 in 2012.
