DICE have today revealed that they are looking to push the Frostbite 2 engine even further with the possibility of earthquakes in multiplayer.
While destructive environments are confirmed for Battlefield 3, Lars Gustavsson the Lead Multiplayer Designer publicized that “We’re [DICE] still looking into ambient destruction in multi-player; it’s still too early to say really”. He went onto add that “”it’s technically possible to have earthquakes in multi-player using Frostbite 2.”
