DICE has today revealed what it has forgiven in multiplayer terms to get the best Battlefield 3 experience on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
DICE boss Patrick Bach set the records straight but explain “The biggest difference between the PC and console version of Battlefield 3 is that we have 64 players on PC and 24 players maximum on console.”
Bach went onto say this was to enable DICE to give console gamers the “the same engine, the same technology, the same animation system, the same lighting system” resulting in “player the exact same experience”.
The multiplayer maps will also be reduced in size according to Bach but he did defend the reduced sizes by adding “more or less. When we say they are smaller, it’s not that we have cut them in half”.
