DICE certainly seem to be pushing the boundaries in terms of the PC version of Battlefield 3 but it seems that consoles won’t even be full HD.
DICE have revealed that unlike the PC, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will only support 720p output. They also cleared up confusion of the difference between the PC and PS3 demos of the game. When it was noticed that in PC demo the character had cross hair scope but the PS3 version had a red dot DICE simply replied the PS3 footage was from a “new build”.
