Valve‘s writer and producer Chet Fasilzek has made a remarkable comment about Stephen Merchant, the voice of Wheatley from Portal 2.
When discussing the role that Stephen Merchant played in the first person puzzle title Chet revealed that “We initially assumed he was filthy rich and wouldn’t do it”.
Chet went onto say that luckily for Portal 2’s sake Valve “didn’t realize how badly the BBC pays.” Strong words coming from the Valve producer but fortunately enough for us gamers, Merchant was enticed into voicing one of the games leading roles.
