When Simon Watts, who is the Global Communications Manager at THQ, was asked about the possibility of Homefront 2 he stated “I think it’s very likely. We’ve got a great franchise, a great IP in Homefront.” With this little bit of information out of the way he went on to state how he feels he wants the franchise to go.
“There were a few niggles and a few technical issues when it came out, but it’s stuff that we’re going to fix. By the time the next Homefront comes out, it will be fantastic. “We don’t want to be a ‘me too’ title, we want to be right up there. When people look at the genre we want them to talk about our game, not just Call of Duty, with us classified as a pretender. In the long run that’s the plan – it’s not something you can aspire to do straight out of the box.”
The first title got mixed reviews from different reviewers. Hopefully the devs can work out the kinks (and lengthen the campaign) to make the next installment truly amazing.
