Now that L.A. Noire is out in stores, a lot of news outlet are reporting that Team Bondi’s and Rockstar’s L.A. Noire is causing PS3 w/ 3.61 firmware installed to overheat.
To clear the rumors and speculations about L.A. Noire overheating PS3, both Sony and Rockstar released a statement today on the Official PlayStation Blog and states;
“We have received a very small number of customer support questions about PS3’s overheating or shutting down while playing L.A. Noire,” said the companies. “At this time, Rockstar Games and Sony can confirm that neither L.A. Noire or firmware update 3.61 are causing the PS3 hardware to overheat. We are both committed to working hard to find solutions to this and any issues that may arise.”
We played the PS3 version of L.A. Noire and so far, we haven’t encountered any overheating issue. What about you? Did your PS3 overheat yet because of L.A. Noire?
