Gamespot has reported that Sony has to answer questions to Congress tomorrow regarding the PSN outage.
Sony is still investigating on the matter as to who is responsible for the PSN attack which has been down for 13 days now and counting.
The New York Times has posted the questions that Sony must answer to Congress no later than the 6th of May.
Here are the questions proposed:
–“When did you become aware of the illegal and unauthorized intrusion?”
–“How did you become aware of the breach?”
–“What information was obtained by the unauthorized individual(s) as a result of this breach, and how did you ascertain this information?”
–“How many PlayStation Network account holders provided credit card information to Sony Computer Entertainment?”
–“Please explain why you do not believe credit card information was obtained and why you cannot determine if the data was in fact taken.”
Sony has stated it will be providing answers to the questions well in advance before the deadline. Now it is putting all its focus on the investigation and trying to get the PSN online again.

Sony better do something or else they can say goodbye to alot of customers/players.

May 4, 2011 at 12:57 AMI,m a C.O.D. freak
And a True PS3 backer
Sony owes us NOTHING
All attacks should be to the hacker
Online play is FREE
Yet some people still throw rocks
If your that impatient
And have nothing else to do
then go ahead and buy an XBOX
You’ll find that you have to pay online
I’m not knocking XBOX it’s cool
But the XBOX, a game and online play
Spending the money you’ll feel like a fool
Have the patience and some faith
I’m frustrated just like you
But since it’s been down I’ve realized
There’s lots more at home to do

May 4, 2011 at 3:00 AMLOL @ Tehpunisher, are YOU 10 sir? It sure seems that way, your grammar is appalling.
Anyway, I know its not Sony’s fault (well, I guess thats debatable also) but I’m still really frustrated. I bought Portal 2 for the PS3 simply because I got a free PC version. Two versions for the price of one + $10? I thought that was an excellent idea. Trouble is with the PSN being down I can’t link my accounts to get my PC version… So you know, mega fail. The whole “first time cross-console multiplayer” thing is completely useless ATM.
Would kinda suck to be Sony right now…

May 4, 2011 at 3:31 AMWe need someone to tell (not ask) Sony that they have to send an e-mail to everyone in their affected databases that the information they have, and include a listing of what they have (not the info itself) so the 77 million users can know if they are on the list.http://bit.ly/mCxtbF

May 4, 2011 at 3:47 AMThis is beyond rediculous 13 days, sony is a giant company there is no excuse.Online play isnt free its included in the price of the system.I know they have there B.S waivers and what not but nobody would of bought the peace of crap with out online play.Im goin to 360 they screwed up beyond forgiveness. It shows there attitude they dont care about online they consider it a pain in there side.IF one of there prodution lines were down it wouldnt take this long. They dont even think were worth giveing a explanation to so congress is getting involved.

May 4, 2011 at 6:13 AMOh no jeremiah and his 10 friends are going to quit playstation. I’m sure sony will care greatly about this… oh and to all the people who think this has never/can never happen to xbox… it happened in 2007 and there were people who actually lost money. Just google “xbox hacked 2007”. Everyone else go outside and meet new people, get fresh air.
