Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford spoke with Forbes saying he is confident that there will be no more delays for Duke Nukem Forever.
When asked what was the reason for the game pushed back from May to June, he said there was a lot more that needed to be done “on the development side”. He mentioned a number of things were still needed to be done on the game and the decision was made to release it a month later. Pitchford did not like making the decision but he knew the game would benefit from the longer development time.
He as asked if there were going to be any more delays for the game too. Pitchford said he is pretty confifdent there will be no more delays on the game. He said only an “act of God” will prevent the game from releasing in June.
Duke Nukem Forever is released worldwide on June 10th with a North American release on June 14th. It will be on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Let’s hope these release dates stay that way. Duke Nukem fans will riot if the game is delayed yet again…
