As reported by Kotaku, Sony has announced it will be porting select PSP games onto the PS3.
It’s called the PlayStation Portable Remaster Series and several popular PSPS games will be ported to the PS3 all with HD graphics, improved controls and a whole lot more.
Multiplayer support will also be implemented for PSP games that had ad-hoc connections.
PSP owners will be excited to know that previous save data will work on both systems. This means you can play the game without needing to repeat a certain level twice!
The first game announced to be ported is Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. It will be re-released on the PS3 during the Summer in Japan.
Sony is expected to make more announcements on this at E3. Hopefully international release dates are announced as well as more games.
