Christian Svensson the Senior Vice-President from Capcom has made an interesting remark about the PSN downtime and Capcom’s reliance on the service.
Svensson was asked on the Capcom Unity blog “How do you feel about the SONY Hackers?” his reply was simple “the resulting outage obviously costing us hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars in revenue”.
He went on to add that Capcom relies on the funds it gets from the PSN and other online services “to bring new games to market for our fans.” Hopefully this won’t cause any job losses due to titles being axed but unfortunately it might just happen.
