“Never Fight Alone” is what Epic Games is calling their upcoming promotion which allows beta participants to invite one friend to join them. Playing only one match during the beta entitles players with a buddy token.
If you’re having trouble deciding which friend is worthy of your invite, don’t fret. There are other ways to earn extra buddy tokens in order to bring more friends into the fight. To grab another token all you need to do is one of the following (each accomplished task earns one token):
Buy Gears of War from Games on Demand, any of the Gears DLC or a Gears Avatar
Play 20 + hours of the Gears of War 3 beta
Buy a 12-month Gold subscription
Play 100 hours of any Gears of War title, lifetime to date.
The only restriction is that tokens will only be awarded up until May 4th. After that, Microsoft will start emailing codes out on or before May 8th.
The full game releases on September 20th on Xbox 360.
