When it comes to a multiplatform game where the PS3 is the lead platform, the counterpart is always the inferior version. With L.A. Noire coming out on the Xbox 360, expect some graphical glitches and hiccups but it can lessen via the data installation.
For those who are looking for a smooth experience on the Xbox 360 version of L.A. Noire, installing the game’s data is the way to go. Installing all three discs will take up to 20GB of space as each of the discs are at 6.6GB. Following the successful data installation, players can notice that the game loads faster, lessen the in-game graphics pop-up and the screen tearing.
For those who are looking for a guide on L.A. Noire, stay tuned with us this week as we will have it done pretty soon. Stay tuned.

May 16, 2011 at 5:38 PMEverybody with half a brain already knew PS3 game’s won’t ever be able to run on the 360 packing the same quality.
lol
May 16, 2011 at 7:44 PMThis is why I have a ps3. Bout time developers USED it’s power+capabilities.. instead of dumbing the game down because of the xbox. There is a reason Uncharted 1 + 2, Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 4 (still amazing after almost 3 years…..) and God of War 3 kick the ass of anything on 360… PS3 exclusives, using the real power of the ps3.
Oh my
May 17, 2011 at 3:26 AMWhy install all the three discs at the same time? Lost Odyssey had 4 discs and I used to have one disc installed at a time. When the disc was finished and the game asked for the next disc, I installed the next disc and deleted the previous disc’s content from the HDD. This way the game never took more than ~6 gigs of HDD space.
Oh my
May 17, 2011 at 4:25 AM@lol:
This Metal Gear Solid 4… Seriously, what’s so special about it? I just finished it and it’s nothing the 360 couldn’t handle. It looked quite nice, but I also know lots of better-looking 360 titles. I honestly think that even Alan “560p” Wake looked more impressive than MGS4.
mmmm
May 17, 2011 at 4:56 AMI dont have a HDD on my 360, so i used a 8GB thumbstick and it works super fast when loading and no in game texture loading, even the pause menue map i desplayed with no delay!
i played the entire first disc of the dvd drive, and then allot of people told i should instell only the disc i’m using on a thumbstick(no need to instell all dvd’s, only the one your using)
and i did.
Before the instell even the map would take a few seconds to load, but now its super fast with the loading screens down to ten-tweny seconds insted of a minute and more, plus no pop-ins at all(from what i played).
I didnt noticed any screen tear even playing from the drive!
took me about 11m to instell, and you can do it when ever you want
no need to instell before you even start playing(like ps3), and no real need to instell all dvd’s only the one you are using!

May 17, 2011 at 5:19 AMSeriously????
“Installing the game on Xbox 360 will result in a total size of 20GB as each of the discs contain about 6,6GB”
That is the only way to get a smoother performance that still doesn’t match the PS3 version?
Why are we going backwards this gen? (atleast for the 360 owners) Who in their right mind buys the 360 version when they have both PS3/360.
*hmm let me think, install 20GB and wait ages or just get PS3 version and get better performance without install*
Talk about disappointing times for 360 owners.
If anything this is just more proof of new Microsoft hardware announcements. They have been holding this gen back too much now.

May 17, 2011 at 5:21 AMN o offense , but its general knowledge that ANY game would run better if installed to the HDD. And thats a FACT!

May 17, 2011 at 5:48 AMWell now you know how PS3 owners feel. Multi-platform games are pretty much always better on the 360, FF XIII being one of the few exeptions.
Good thing I’ve got both 360 and PS3, I can always get the superior version. <3

May 17, 2011 at 9:20 AM*hmm let me think, install 20GB and wait ages or just get PS3 version and get better performance without install*

May 17, 2011 at 9:31 AMLol MGS4 was a 1st generation PS3 game you dumbass. Xbox 360 was out FOUR AND A HALF YEARS when Alan Asleep came out (development time 7 years). If it didn’t look better by then, throw that crapbox out then.
Oh my
May 17, 2011 at 1:16 PMPop a chill pill, angry teen.
Doesn’t matter whether MGS4 is a 1st generation PS3 title or not when someone makes statements like this: “Metal Gear Solid 4 kicks the ass of anything on 360”.
“If it didn’t look better by then, throw that crapbox out then.”
Is that something you would do? One single (1) game doesn’t please you and you get rid of the whole console? Or is it just that no one is allowed to criticise the great MGS4?
I just said MGS4 looked fine. Besides, if I were to get rid of MGS4, I would do it for more heavier reasons. One being that it’s really just quite mediocre and not so much fun to play (when you actually get to play it).

May 17, 2011 at 1:39 PMI hear it’s more linear than sandbox, which is good, but does LA Niore really play as good as it looks?

May 22, 2011 at 2:49 AMits funny you say the ps3 is the main platform, as a employee in retail if you look at the box ps3 only goes 720 on LA Noire, but 360 goes 1080p. i dont think its common for an “inferior” version to have a higher quality display. but i guess thats just me.
