Following Geohot’s exile from the PlayStation Network community a couple of weeks ago, the man returns to the jailbreaking scene by focusing on Apple products.
With the release of the iPad 2 a couple of months ago, none of the developers has yet to jailbreak the device due to its new security methods. Just several days ago, a jailbreak developer challenged Geohot with the following statement:
I challenged geohot to dump the iPad2 bootrom before me. Maybe having a worthy opponent will motivate me to work harder =P – @p0sixninja
Since Geohot is a man that doesn’t back down, he accepted the challenge. p0sixninja revealed to everyone that he accepted the challenge with the following statement:
… he accepted, he said he didn’t have an iPad yet but he’s getting one really soon – @p0sixninja
Now that Geohot is back and all he needs is an iPad 2, could the device finally be cracked? We should find out soon.
