THQ has informed JustPushStart that it has misprinted the expiration dates listed on the promotional codes with Red Faction: Armageddon.
Each retail copy of Red Faction: Armageddon comes with a free code to download Ruin Mode. THQ has told us that the expiration dates listed on the code are a result of a misprint.
There will be no expiration dates for the codes on Xbox LIVE and Steam. The code has a one year expiration date following the release date of Red Faction: Armageddon if you have purchased the PS3 version.
In other words, there is no need to worry about using the code as quickly as possible if you buy the PC and Xbox 360 version of Red Faction: Armageddon. There are no expiry dates.
Here’s the full statement from THQ:
Each copy of Red Faction: Armageddon comes with a promotional code for a free, one-time download of Ruin Mode. There is no expiration date for these codes on Xbox Live or Steam. On the PlayStation Network, the promotional code is valid for one year following the release of Red Faction: Armageddon, as per standard PlayStation Network policy. The expiration date listed on the promotional code inserts is the result of a misprint, and we apologize for any confusion.
