Director David O. Russell has decided to abandon the Uncharted: Drakes Fortune film adaptation.
A reason behind his departure was not given but his most recent work on The Fighter may have played a role in his decision. The Fighter won two Academy Awards and was critically acclaimed by film critics. He might have decided that a video game movie was “below his standards” and left the project entirely. It may not have been his decision entirely but video games are still sadly looked down upon in the movie industry…
