Due to the devastating effects of last month’s Japanese earthquake and tsunami, Sony’s NGP may be delayed till next year.
Sony President Jack Tretton told Reuters that the NGP may only be released in only one region at the end of this year as production problems prohibited the possibilty of shipping the NGP worldwide before the end of 2011.
Jack Tretton did not comment on which region will receive the NGP first. It won’t be surprising if Japan gets the NGP before anyone else though. On the plus side Tretton said it will give more time for developers to polish its gaming software.
