Sony announced on its PlayStation Blog, that a new firmware will accompany the PSN relaunch.
Sony revealed in a Q&A session that it is “working on a new system software update that will require all users to change their password once PlayStation Network is restored.”
The PSN itself is being physically rebuilt from the ground up. Sony said it is “moving our network infrastructure and data center to a new, more secure location, which is already underway.”
And finally, Sony has said for users to change their passwords once the PSN is back up and running. This will prevent possible identity theft in the future.
