According to a source from IGN, Microsoft is looking to release free-to-play games on Xbox LIVE.
It’s only a rumor now as Microsoft itself is yet to confirm any details. It could be that Microsoft might want compete with the growing popularity of free-to-play games that are available on Facebook and on iPhones.
Microsoft was planning on releasing Joy Ride as a free-to-play game until the decision was made to release it as a full priced game instead.
We will have to wait and see if it’s indeed true.
