Erik Wolpaw, Portal 2’s writer, has revealed a few interesting details about Valve’s upcoming first person puzzle title.
When asked at PAX East by joystiq.com, Wolpaw said that Portal 2 will be “a little more forgiving” but at the same time “no one’s going to solve Portal 2 in ten minutes.” It’s good news for fans of the original Portal, that the puzzles aren’t getting any easier but it seems there will be no advanced rooms in Portal 2 not from launch anyway.
When asked about the advanced rooms Wolpaw replied that “We’ve [Valve] kind of shifted those over to achievements,” but he also let slip that there might be a DLC pack from Valve in the future which introduces them into Portal 2.
From the sounds of things Portal 2 will be looked after even after launch by Valve but is it good news DLC is already planned? Comment your opinions below.
