Due to the recent events in Japan, Naoki Yoshida revealed today via his blog that the patch planned for release this month will be delayed.
Following the temporary shut down of the Final Fantasy XIV servers in Japan, the patches 1.16a and 1.17, originally scheduled for release this month, will be delayed for up to two weeks.
In addition to the delay of the patches, Yoshida promises that there will be a new feature, the Grand Companies of Eorzea, which will be released before patch 1.17.
