Square Enix has decided to suspend its services for Final Fantasy XI and XIV in response to the devastating earthquake.
The decision was made to suspend the games’ services for one week to help reduce power consumption in the country. Plans have yet to be made whether the games will continue after the first week.
Players will be issued a free month of gameplay in April for Final Fantasy XI due to the week long suspension.
The suspension of the two games apply to gamers both in and out of Japan.
