When Resident Evil 5 was unveiled at E3 several years ago, reports claimed that the game could have been a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. According to Everything HQ, Resident Evil 6 could be a timed exclusive for the PS3.
We all know that Resident Evil 5 was released simultaneously for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. If it was a timed exclusive, Microsoft would have had to offer Capcom quite a bit of money for them to release it on the Xbox 36o first.
Sony is looking to to strike a similar deal but only for real this time. The fee offered by Sony to Capcom is reportedly being approved and will see Resident Evil 6 to be a PS3 exclusive to up to a year.
It’s only a rumor for now but it’s does sound feasible. Microsoft offered Activision quite a large sum so that Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops’ map packs were released on the Xbox 360 first before going to the PS3 a few short months later.

February 21, 2011 at 8:05 AMTo be honest i’m not fussed either way to then they bring it out oand on what platform. Resident Evil 5 was pants and has lost the touch of the classic resident evil (1,2,3) Games.
It didnt feel like a scary zombie eating game, and doesnt really tie with the origenal games very well.
Capcom, stop trying new things and keep a game that we once loved. I want a game that ties in with Resident Evil Zero and the Resident Evils 1 2 and 3, Code veronica was one of my fav’s. These where the days of jumping out of your skin not expecting what was around the corner and the music that made your skin crawl.
I can see the 6th installment being a flop at this rate.

February 21, 2011 at 7:37 PMResident evil 5 didn’t even feel like a resident evil game, it just felt like another action game. Resident evil is supposed to be scary and filled with zombies and frightful things. So, i want the sixth game to be as scary as possible and still have the same great gameplay of Re5, especially with ALL of the resident evil characters packed into one game thats fitted for xbox 360, and Wii. I wouldn’t make the game for the Ps3 because Resident evils been more of a Nintendo thing and it should be given to Microsoft if it wants it.

February 22, 2011 at 1:29 PMRE4 was better then RE5 ‚but times have changed since the old school versions with xbox live and the psn through to ultimatly understand the reasons why they not redo news similar to the old ones lies in capcoms bad decisions‚ RE is a mature title they are incapable of understand ing that the audience lies on the xbox and ps not nintendo which almost all 3ed party publishers have a hard time selling on ‚ REmake Zero and evenRE4 all under sold on the gamecube and even RE darkside chronicals exclusively on wii was a flop while the latter is eralivent what matters is capcoms bad understanding of the market has lead to flops which inturn is the reason why know old style REgames will ever be preduced again ….. had REmake and Zero been exclusively released on ps2 the outcome of the last few years would have favord the fans

April 17, 2011 at 2:18 AMEveryone seems to forget the stellar “Resident Evil Code Veronica”. This year is Resident Evil’s 15th anniversary. Capcom is releasing “Resident Evil Mercenaries” and “Resident Evil Revelations” on the 3DS. HD versions of “Resident Evil 4” and “Resident Evil Code Veronica” via DLC for PS3 and Xbox 360. Capcom is also releasing “Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City” for PS3 and Xbox 360. Now if Capcom would just announce “Resident Evil 6” for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii 2 and PC at the E3. Many people say they like RE4 better than RE5. Well, I like them both equally. Both games are stunning and a blast to play. I don’t mind RE5’s action-based theme. I love the game. I also really enjoyed playing the Resident Evil Remake on the Gamecube; RE0 was an ok game. RE2 is legendary. Didn’t care much for Nemesis.
