Sony has released their financial results for the first 9 months of the fiscal year, which ends in March. Official figures state that 12.2 Million PS3s have been sold. They also saw a 45.7 billion yen profit for the last quarter alone. In the previous fiscal year Sony sold 13 million PS3s and predict that number to increase towards the 15 million units sold mark by the end of this fiscal year. Sony did however see sales in the PSP and PS3 drop from 9.9 million to 8 million, and 7.3 million to 6 million respectively.
