As the demand for DC Universe Online is increasing every single day, players who are enjoying themselves playing will have to suffer a few hours of unexpected downtime.
According to SOE, they are currently working in expanding the capacity of the servers today as more players are currently getting into the game and the servers they have right now aren’t enough. Expect some interruption while playing the game and the downtime should last several hours.
DC Universe Online is now available on the PS3 and PC. More on DC Universe Online coverage are coming! Stay tuned.
[Update #1] SOE updated us right now that the servers will be back up momentarily.
[Update #2] It seems that the PS3 version of DC Universe Online is facing login issues. Players who plays on the PS3 console will not be able to login. SOE is aware of this issue and is currently working on a fix.

January 17, 2011 at 1:22 AMGreat game very immersive but nonetheless DCUO needs too do some sort of upgrade where on the loading screens there should be a server status screen implemented because its rather infuriating too try too figure out is it you or is it them….and lol I hate too phrase it this way but any mmo should have 24 hr customer support not 12hr….if i am paying for a subscription too something i have 24 hr access too then i should have the same access too support….
I will stick through the growing pains….but will have too say if x is the number of console versions of game shipped and y is the number of pc versions then u should have your servers set up too exceed x+y *2 so you can always be ahead of the curve. Also have the website set up for server status and news…..World of warcraft can do it why cant DCUO….not knocking it…just saying.
Thanks

January 17, 2011 at 9:54 AMI bought DCUO for the PS3 for my husband and my 6 year old. This game has been an issue in our house for the past 3 days as we were only able to get “on” for about 20 minutes and the rest of the time were booted off or couldn’t get on at all! My 6 year old has more patience than my hubby, but they really need to fix the issues quickly!! Any tips for what we are doing wrong?

January 19, 2011 at 8:01 AMGeez, I’ve been looking forward to this game since I first heard about, just picked it up and took the day OFF WORK to play it and guess what? I bet you know… “All Worlds Currently Down For Maintenance – Try Again LATER”… grrrr, what a pain in the butt!

January 22, 2011 at 1:33 AMDC Universe is a big title for an MMO and Sony Online Entertainment is really cashing in on it but I don’t think I’ll be getting this game because I already have COH/COV and Champions. These two are already a sandbox in terms of hero creation. As much as I want to become a sidekick to Superman and Batman like everyone else but getting another superhero MMO is not practical.
