If you cant wait for more Final Fantasy, Dengeki playstation some details about the three upcoming games, Versus, Type-0, and XIII-2.
It would appear that Aibo has landed himself an early copy of this weeks Dengeki Playstation (1/26), which is rather detail heavy arguably three of Square Enix’s most anticipated RPG’s. Lets start with the rather mysterious upcoming PS3 title.
Not to long ago we got a trailer for Versus XIII according to his twitter we will be seeing a follow up soon, but not too soon i’m afraid. It goes on to mention that the earliest we will see Versus, is at E3 due to the other games.
We also have some light details on XIII-2, it will apparently be centralized on Etro and will start in Gran Pulse. The game also expands on the epilogue at the end of the XIII international book. The tweet went on to say that the end boss is looking for a gate (世界). The story is a COMPLETE continuation of XIII but will be more mysterious and thankfully darker/grim.
For fans of the ATB system, they took input from various sources to evolve the system. Beyond that there were adjustments made to make the difficulty more challenging.
Finally we have some details on Type-o, in this edition of FF the name of the game is MAGIC! Oddly enough there is no need to “collect everyone”. Interesting enough it appears that there’s a multiplayer system where you can join others games but for only 3:00 minutes. Over time its possible to extend it, but there will be lock out times.
There was some details on the story but not much, basically Makina and Remu are separate from the 12 protagonist, but still playable. There is also mention of a limit of thee characters, but if one falls you can replace them.
