THIS. LOOKS. INSANE!!!!! Never beat the first 2, but i think i’ll jump in at this one! Nice to see a whole batch of jrpgs hitting us this year for the ps3!

you should really play the first two, you’ll be missing out on a lot otherwise.

It takes place in another dimension so if you don’t play 1 or 2, you’re fine.

@Grant That’s wrong. All of the three games take place in the same world and planet, but in different regions. And while the main story can be understood with no problems, the references, terminology bits and lore won’t be understood for those who never played the two first games.
