A double XP weekend on Call of Duty: Black Ops is confirmed for just after First Strike’s launch. The DLC which will be only available on Xbox 360 is released on Xbox Live Marketplace on February 1st. The double XP weekend will last from the 4th to the 6th of February; it will be on all platforms not just the Xbox 360 as rumoured.
Will this see an influx of players back onto Black Ops or will the trend continue with players moving away onto other titles? Soon we will find out.

January 31, 2011 at 10:15 AMI am not sure that double XP will keep players around after the double XP has expired. Treyarch should have offered double XP a long time ago to keep players interested. This game is fun, but not that fun. Despite the many flaws in MW2, the game overall is much better than Black Ops. The hype is over with this game.

January 31, 2011 at 1:22 PMI just hope MW3 is not rushed like Call of Duty Black Ops was. Has anyone heard anything new, the only information I could find on Modern Warfare 3 http://mwarfare3.com. Anyone know of any other places?
