This is really no surprise! Activision is pleased to announce today that Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops have surpassed $1 Billion sales worldwide.
In the first five days alone, the game have sold more than $650 million worldwide. The phenomenal sales outpaced a video game sales record in just five days. Black Ops have beaten last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by a near $100 million. As of right now, Call of Duty: Black Ops have logged more than 600 million hours since the game was launched November 9, 2010.
With the First Strike DLC coming in two months, expect the sales of the map pack to surpass once again the sales of Modern Warfare 2. Good job Activision and Treyarch!
