Call of Duty: Black Ops will again allow players to decide whether or not they wish to play a possibly distasteful content. Like in Modern Warfare 2’s mission No Russian where the player had the option to skip the civilian airport massacre, Black Ops will feature impactful graphic content.
The censorship asked players in Modern Warfare 2 if they would like to play the mission, players will this time around be asked the same question about certain graphic content. Whether gamers decide to play this content or not does not affect the rest of the title in any way so it is completely up to the individual to decide what is right for them.
I believe players should get the options about hard hitting or violent content rather than the Ratings boards deciding something we shouldn’t see the game. Black Ops is rated for adults after all.
Whether you play the graphic content or not the game is getting close to release, on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 9th.
