While Treyarch has developed Call of Duty: Black Ops using the new more realistic facial animation capture system; they have at times had to tone down the realism. Dave Anthony, director, stated some of the character work was “amazing” but occasionally the animation was so life-like it was “going too far”.
He went on to say that “the throat cutting was worse” which really describes just how realistic the game could be. I’m personally glad in a way they decided to tame it a little; as there is a point where if it is too realistic it just gets weird and I believe throat cutting might just be it.
Do you think they should tone down their title or leave it in the game for players to decide in an options menu? Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on November 9th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

October 22, 2010 at 11:06 PMI believe they should give you the option. If you took modern warfare 2 back in time to when they were creating the first cod, they would have said it was to realistic. That was 7 years ago and in another 7 years you will not be able to tell the difference between a game and real life.
