Team 17 and THQ will be bringing the classic Worms series to the Nintendo Wii this year. In November they will be releasing Worms: Battle Island. In total the Wii version of the title will have 30 missions as well as 30 Worm themed puzzles to complete. Online multiplayer support for Worms: Battle Island means plenty more battles between friends as they through sheep or grenades at each other.
The reason THQ are publishing Worms: Battle Island is Team 17 have joined the THQ Partners program which means they can focus alone on just developing the title; with THQ handling the publishing side. It’s unclear if it will be both disk and digital distribution at this time but expect more and more titles being digital as publishers get used to the online download market.
