PC gamers have been dealt a massive blow in the form of Super Street Fighter IV today. The series producer Yoshinori Ono has pretty much ruled out a PC version of the game due to fears over piracy.
The original Street Fighter IV had a bit of a problem with piracy although it still managed to sell well. Ono mentioned it’s not completely ruled out but at this time unless a decent protection solution is found the PC version will remain unreleased. He went on to say as the arcade version is already running on a Taito’s DirectX-based Type X2 arcade board a PC version is ‘99% ready’ so all that is stopping the release is piracy.
With the possibility of Stream being the only way to release Super Street Fighter IV, is it right people that pirate games should be able to ruin other gamers entertainment?
