Following our announcement of Gran Turismo 5 having an optional install of 10GB worth of data, we would like to also announce that Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland for the PlayStation 3 will be another title that WILL require an install.
The installation size of Atelier Rorona is not as big as Gran Turismo 5. Prepare at least 1.4GB of space on the PlayStation 3’s hard drive as it will require that much space before a player can play it.
Until how long will this mandatory install keep on coming on the PlayStation 3. Is 1TB what we’re going to need in the near future? Check back with us next week for our hands-on impression of the game.

August 28, 2010 at 7:25 PMWhat’s with all the whining about mandatory installs? 1.4 gb? How many games do you own, 800? Did you know that you can erase that 5 gb from bioshock now that you don’t play it anymore? My god, what a loser.

August 28, 2010 at 8:13 PMWell… You can still erease the data you installed once you dont play the game.
My 1st ps3 was a 60gb and i used it for 4years and i never had a storage problem.
But for the 10gb on GT5 its a lil bit too much i must admit.

August 28, 2010 at 10:45 PMEverytime a game that comes out with an install, you can trust the interwebz will blow up the story on N4G from some no name site. I have 68 ps3 titles and 52 psn titles along with hulu, home, the photo app and hell even mlb tv all on my 500gb hard drive and out of that im using 240gb. Guess what kids thats what a hdd is for. Sony didnt allow you to swap drives or include bigger hdd’s in it’s console for a 2000kb save file. If you can afford to game enough to fill your hard drive, you can sure as hell afford to buy an upgrade to a bigger one from newegg.
