Famitsu revealed this week more information on its upcoming RPG called Catherine that is being developed by the makers of the Persona series.
Catherine is currently being developed by Shigenori Soejima (character designer), Katsura Hashino (producer and director) and Shouji Meguri as the sound composer. These people are the ones behind the Persona series. The game starts off with a man named Vincent, who is portrayed as a 32 year old man. Catherine is a 22 year old young woman who will also be appearing in the game. Both characters runs into each other on a night Vincent has nightmares. For fans of the Persona series, this should be a pretty familiar story point. Dark and ominous story can be expected as the nightmares represents another world change int he game.
According to Soejima, there will be adult scenes in the game. It is unknown as to what these scenes are but Meguro confirmed the game’s music will be somewhat adult oriented and erotic. Expect full 5.1ch surround sound.
In regards to Persona 5, an announcement will be made next year?
Catherine is currently in development on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
