Just announced at Comic-Con 2010 is not one, but two crossover fighting games starring the combatants of both Street Fighter and Tekken.
The two games are called Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken x Street Fighter. Street Fighter x Tekken will be based on the Street Fighter IV gaming engine with the same graphics and fighting physics only now with the Tekken characters included. The game will have 2-on-2 tag team play as video footage saw Kazuya and Nina take on Ryu and Chun-Li. The game will be developed by Capcom.
Tekken x Street Fighter will be a separate game but harboring the Tekken 6 gaming engine. This time the Street Fighter characters will be rendered in 3D and try to fight the Tekken way. The game will be developed by Namco.
Capcom are concentrating on releasing Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds first before announcing a release date for the aforementioned games. What we do know now is that both games will be on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
